Re: Inexpensive touch probe option for 2d on a router??
I have been using the Xoomspeed wireless conversion kit for maybe 6 months or so and have had no issues with latency. I’ve compared the probe results to a Haimer and have seen no differences. Fast probe at 20 ipm...can’t recall the second slow probe speed at the moment. The Xoomspeed base station sh...

Re: Inexpensive touch probe option for 2d on a router??
That’s the exact setup I’m using. The Xoomspeed wireless setup works great! There is also a second input for a toolsetter, or whatever you’d like, and it can detect inputs from both devices.

Re: Spindle Control for Mini Lathe
Go read this thread. Looks like the KB Electronics KBSI-125R controller and the KBSI-240D Signal Isolator are what you need. https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=1305&hilit=Spindle+motor+reversing+relay%2Fcontactor Those are the exact items I’m using on my mini lathe. They can ...

Re: Homing Z axis to limit switch and manually position X axis - lathe
My cnct.hom file didn’t contain the lines Keith mentioned above. I had the Wizard set to “simple home” so needed to change it to “home to switch” then save settings to Acorn. That updated the hom file, I found the M92/X line and commented it out. Works perfectly!

Re: Homing Z axis to limit switch and manually position X axis - lathe
Thanks, guys! I’m still getting accustomed to the Wizard being within CNC12 and it’s new layout. Much nicer!

Homing Z axis to limit switch and manually position X axis - lathe <answered>
I don't have a limit switch on the X axis of my lathe. Is there a way to manually position the X axis, then have the Z axis automatically home to it's switch? Tried searching and could have sworn someone had asked something like this in the past, but couldn't find it.

Re: KBCC-R speed controller
Hiya Milton, Reviving this old thread. I've finally gotten to thinking about trying to get the spindle speed calibrated and am unsure which pots on which device to adjust. The KBCC-125R manual seems to say the max speed pot won't work when you're using voltage following mode (which I assume is the s...

Thanks, Reed! I was wondering what you made the gibs from...now I know. I understand how you made them and the mounting blocks. How did you do the linear rails? Can you post more pics?
