Re: Problem out of nowhere!

OKay…. I might have jumped the gun on this one. I think when I saw Mary's post I thought "Hey that's happening to me". On further inspection there is significant wobble on the table, I need to adjust my gibs. I think that's the problem because the further out on the corner I go the bigger ...

Re: Problem out of nowhere!

Good idea, I’ll cut air. I’m also going to try cutting the circular pockets using intercon (I usually use fusion 360) Not random, 4 other circular pockets for a different project with same result - stuttered in the same are. I’ll upload my wiring pic (although it’s a mess) and report back with above...

Re: Problem out of nowhere!

Same here- just started recently. I notice it in a circular tool path when climb cutting at around 10-11 o'clock, when I speed up the machine then I start to notice it a little at 5 o'clock as well. Checked my 'lash and it was the same as when everything was working well. I checked on here to see if...

Re: DMM servo on G0704, is belt needed?

Thanks for the reply. The z axis was one of my concerns, I Didn't realize there was a brake option. My head definitely drifts, I am not sure what the holding torque for for 750W servo is but a brake makes sense.
Best,
Daniel

DMM servo on G0704, is belt needed?

Hi everyone, I have a small G0704/BF20 Mill currently running acorn with steppers. I just placed an order from DMM for 3 DYN2 drives, 2 NEMA23s 400w servos (57N-DHT-A6TD1) and 1 NEMA 34 750w servo (86N-DHT-A6MD1). I asked the gentle man helping with my DMM order if I need a belt reduction drive for ...

Re: Help with G-code, offset 2d adaptive hole on fusion 360.

Thank you both! You guys are great. It is almost certainly the column out of tram. I had a small crash a few weeks ago and I remember thinking about how I did not us a torque wrench when I installed the column on my cnc conversion and maybe not tightening the column bolts as much as I should have. I...

Re: Help with G-code, offset 2d adaptive hole on fusion 360.

You should not have guaranteed :) I programmed it in intercon and it looks the same. Picture attached (top is with fusion 360 post and bottom is with intercon). intercon Gcode attached. I've also attached a drawing of the test drilled hole with counterbore (circular pocket) and measurements. The too...

Help with G-code, offset 2d adaptive hole on fusion 360.

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had this problem or could help- I drilled a hole with a 5/16" drill bit (fusion 360), then 2D adaptive to counterbore it with 3/16" end-mill. The drilled hole was supposed to be centered in the counterbore as is seen in the pic of the Fusion360 simulation....

Re: Grizzly G0678 - 8" x 30" Variable-Speed Vertical Mill CNC Conversion

Just for my info why the G0678 over the precision Mathews - PM-940M with hardened ways?

I’m with you on the small frame and travel of the bf-20s
Best,
Daniel
