Re: Z axes cutting problem

Firstly ""ALWAYS MAKE SURE"" the endmills are center cutting as many are not. Use a reduced plunging speed and if you have the space to allow the endmill to ramp into the part at an angle other than straight down you may make life a little easier for your endmills. Ramping is gen...

Re: ALLINONE DC and PLC PROGRAMMING??

For anyone who is interested there is a 91 page PDF manual titled PLCMAN that describes in detail how to program the PLC side of teh ALLINONE controller. It will be most useful and informative for anyone trying to go beyond a basic install and do some customizing of features and controls.

Re: ALL-IN-ONE-DC Wont come out of E-stop

Did you disable the LUBE FAULT and SPINDLE FAULT inputs? Not sure how to do this in MACH3 but in CNC11 you simply set parameter 178 to 3. Otherwise you can make connections to these inputs to toggle there status to allow you to come out of estop. All faults much be clear, limits etc.......... Did yo...

Re: ALL-IN-ONE-DC Wont come out of E-stop

You might want to install and use the demo CNC11 software to do all your initial set-up and testing.( you will need an unlock code that may have been included with your package or you can call in and request it as I did) . CNC11 has a number of screens which make the whole procedure "relatively...

Re: axis runaway after inputting backlash

did you remove the backlash setting and did it return to normal? Are you using MACH or the CNC11 software. I think I read there was an update of software as MACH didn't deal with backlash correctly but I could be mistaken on that. I am doing a CNC11 install and I did set the lash on my Z axis and se...

Re: E-STOP CONTACTOR ??

Thanks Scott,

That's the way I have done it and it seems OK in preliminary testing. We shall see how it goes over time and when I try to start fine tuning for performance.

Re: Centroid Servos vs others re price

Not sure about the smaller units but the larger NEMA 42 motors seem to be fairly priced as far as that class of motor is concerned. You should also remember that the AJAX motors come with a high quality encoder which sells for $155. Servo motors are like everything else you buy. Spending more money ...

ALLINONE DC and PLC PROGRAMMING??

While I am not that far along in the process yet I am wondering about future programming of the PLC I/O on the ALLINONE controlle.

Does the information contained in the PLC Programming Manual for Centroid M-Series Controls and the XPLC User Manual apply equally to this controller?
