Both. I enabled the spindle to 100% and would expect a reading of 5v but there is also a delta in voltage.
I set it to auto where the spindle is set of and have a reading mention above

I'm currently also trying to control the spindle with the acorn. When I check with the multimeter on the acorn spindle control output, I read 0.02V but never 0V when the spindle is turned of and nothing is connected (detached common).
