Re: Techno-Isel CPM-3020 CNC Router Acorn Conversion

Hi Marty,

Thanks for the reply and yes, I plan on using RL1/RO1 to energize a isolation relay to control the spindle motor. I bought a couple of the SANWO 24 VDC relays that you mentioned in one of your videos and I'll use that to isolate the Acorn from 120 VAC.

Re: Limit Switch Bypass

Keith,

After giving this more thought, a momentary push button makes more sense so I'm going to install one so I don't loose 3 inputs.
Thanks for that suggestion.

Re: Techno-Isel CPM-3020 CNC Router Acorn Conversion

Hi Milton, I'm using these stepper drivers https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DFSF9GE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Low cost and they appear to be working just fine. Like I said, there was some improvement in the accuracy by changing the steps/rev but the change in stepper sound ...

Re: Techno-Isel CPM-3020 CNC Router Acorn Conversion

Good Morning and thanks for your nice comment regarding the layout but I should have used DB9 breakouts instead of cutting off one end of the cables and wiring direct to the various terminals. That was a big mistake and it really added a lot of time to getting the panel wired. Live and learn.... I h...

Re: Virtual Control Panel AUX Buttons Assignment

I just looked at tech bulletin # 300 and don't see how you can assign a OC3-OC8 on/off function to one of the AUX buttons.
I also looked in the M-Series Operators Manual v3.16 and couldn't find anything there.

HELP...... :?

Re: Virtual Control Panel AUX Buttons Assignment

Hi Keith, Thanks for the info and I'll be getting into that later this week. Looking forward to the release of CNC12 that will allow modifications to the button labels. Currently 3D printing a temporary mount for my Renishaw PH6 / TP2 5W probe mount and while the mount will not be super accurate, I'...

Virtual Control Panel AUX Buttons Assignment

How do you assign the AUX 8 - 11 buttons to outputs OC3 - OC8?
Also, can the lettering of AUX 8 - 11 be changed to match your application?

Here is what I'd like to do:

Limit Switch Bypass

Is there a way to bypass the limit switches? I was testing the Isel router's movement and accidentally triggered the Y+ axis limit switch and the only way I could get it off the switch was to jumper the switches wiring in the control panel. With the X+, Y+, and Z- limit switches in series with the E...

Techno-Isel CPM-3020 CNC Router Acorn Conversion

At the end of July I picked up a Techno-Isel CPM-3020 Router and initially thought I’d convert it to a MACH 3 or 4 based system using a GECKO G540 and then I heard about the Acorn. After a lot of reading and watching Marty’s videos, I decided that the Acorn would be a better way to go. Here is a pho...
