Plasma Control

Our next project is a plasma table. Do you have PLC software for Plasma control?
Mainly looking for Z height control. It would have to read an A/D input and adjust Z accordingly.
Hoping to see voltage settings in CNC11 also.

Re: M10 & M11 in latest cnc11

Found it. That did it.

Thanks.

M10 & M11 in latest cnc11

In the latest CNC11 software an M11 code is automatically generated when the software is stopped or paused.Cant have this. M10 and M11 are the lathes spindle close and open respectfully. When the program stops it sends an M11 opening the chuck and the work piece falls out. How do I stop this.

Re: Lathe Threading Encoder Z

Got it working with the new encoder. One of the wires in the plug I made for the new encoder was broke. Checking the asterisk led me to it. I will now just have to machine a more permanent mount for the new encoder. Thanks for all your help cncsnw. :)

Re: Lathe Threading Encoder Z

Federate at 100%. I've tried threading at spindle speeds of 75, 150, 200, 250, 500, & 600 rpm. Tried 2 different encoder inputs on the cpu11 card. Tried 2 different encoders, 1000 count and a 2000 count. Tried 2 different prox switches with the circuit you sent. (I did determine it is not lookin...

Re: Lathe Threading Encoder Z

I have mounted a brand new 2000 pulse encoder to the back of the spindle so it is at a 1:1 with the spindle. The control still tries to start the thread passes randomly 180 degrees from each other.

Re: Lathe Threading Encoder Z

I got your circuit to work. When I put it on the bench and scoped it, I found the problem. You cant use a diode inline with the prox sensor. I removed the diode and the circuit works fine. Still cant thread though. CNC11 is NOT looking for the encoder Z to start the z axis motion for threading. I ca...

Re: Lathe Threading Encoder Z

Sorry I ment pin 5 and 6. It is 0 and 3vdc across 5 and 6. The astric is on all the time. Before I even tried the prox switch the astric was on all the time beside the spindle input on the PID screen. I did not know the astric was the z signal. This card must have another bad encoder input. I will t...

Re: Lathe Threading Encoder Z

I did some checking this morning and CNC11 is NOT looking for the Z pulse to sink for threading. With the Z pulse completely removed it still tries to thread.

Re: Lathe Threading Encoder Z

Is CNC11 looking for a edge of the z signal or just a high value? The prox is on for 1/2 of a turn of the spindle.
