Re: New Build Steel Frame Router
software pairing does not require the user to enter the axis data in the 4th axis, by definition both should be the same, so you can do it if it makes you feel good but the Wizard/CNC12 are going to assume the slave axis is the same as the master axis and use the data entered from the master axis. a...

Re: Threading with Acorn lathe Pro
The Thread angle is the compound angle, not the angle of the insert. Compound angle controls the angle that the control adjust how the cutting on the insert is done. 59 (29 1/2) adjusts the cut so most of the cut is done on the leading side of the insert. With compound angle of 0.0 the insert will ...

Re: CNC12 v5.1 RC7 (which is build #17806) went up last night with these fixes and improvements
sounds good. the tool library in cnc12 is going to get a make over in v5.2 for mill and router 1st stage of this make over will be in v5.18 which will be a router only release . That is not fair, I have no router yet 🤣 Tool Lib is for me less a problem than not having second independent spindle wit...

Re: Clearpath MCVC Spindle Motor Control - Solved (Mike R is an absolute legend)
great info, once finalized, please post latest working configurations and maybe a video demo. and i will gather and compile info into a Tech Bulletin and create a centroid schematic for others to use in the future. Was a tech bulletin on this ever made? I could only find one for SDSK motors. Trying...

Re: New Build Steel Frame Router
when i mill 3d shapes on a router i set all the backlash compensation values to 0.0000 . The tool path i use does a turn around 'off the part' and therefore the backlash doesn't come into play. having it on in this case sometime causes issues when 3D surfacing like you are doing.

Re: New Build Steel Frame Router
Question: What is causing an inconsistent radius after milling a circle or arc? Answer: Mechanical lash in the machine or improper backlash compensation setting... Solutions: • Adjust software lash if less than 0.001". See TB037 - measuring machine lash • Repair mechanical if lash is over 0.001...

Re: New Build Steel Frame Router
out of round holes could be the overall turns ratio not being correct.
looks like you have metric screws 10 mm pitch. i'd go back to 2.54 rev/in and do you test cuts again.
are servos 1:1 with the screws?
backlash and something loose can also cause a shift when cutting, so review that as well.
