Re: Probe
I ran into this same problem a few months ago http://www.ajaxcnc.com/ajaxbb/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=433 . The Ajax plugin does not implement the lower level probing code in Mach. They circumvent it for some strange reason. In an effort to use some robust 3rd party routines I bought for Mach I setup...

Would it be feasible to have the Ajax plugin toggle the Probe Switch LED in Mach providing a work around for the DRO clobbering that occurs when it is triggered via a Brain?

Re: CNC11 3.04 Understanding Soft Limits
Scott, Thanks again. I misunderstood the limit settings on the Motor page to be PLC inputs and not Soft Limit values. Once I set them back to the correct settings the Limit issue ceased to be a problem. The second problem I had was the feed rate override was indeed set to 0%. Duh. Bumping the feed r...

Re: CNC11 3.04 Understanding Soft Limits
I believe you are confusing physical/electrical limits with software travel limits. ... ... Limits/Homes and Software Travel limits: From the main screen, Physical/electrical limits are set up in F1-Setup -> F3 -Config -> F2-Machine ->F2 -Motor The numbers in the "Limit" and "Home&qu...

*RESOLVED* CNC11 3.04 Understanding Soft Limits
I am having some issues sorting soft limits on CNC11 3.04. They do not appear to be behaving as I expect them to. I have a working system in Mach but have been hitting a few problems trying to get CNC11 up to evaluate. With the s/w limits set to 0, I can enter MDI and notice that the drives enable. ...

Re: Can Jog but Can't move via MDI
I resolved the issues with Mach found some new issues with CNC11. I just needed to step away for a few minutes and then i noticed the Z limits were tripped. The jumpered connections to the gpio were removed during some of my troubleshooting of CNC11 but never made it back. This was all that w...

Re: Can Jog but Can't move via MDI
Power cycling the system was the one of the first things I attempted in my troubleshooting.
I always specify the feed rate when running MDI commands, but do not recall if Mach updated with the feed rate. I will check this evening.
Thanks

Re: Can Jog but Can't move via MDI
Just came across this thread regarding Mach firmware only being downloaded the first startup after the plugin update has been installed. http://www.ajaxcnc.com/ajaxbb/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=14&p=16&hilit=firmware#p18 I will give this a try tomorrow. Hopefully this will fix my Mach issue, T...

*** RESOLVED *** Can Jog but Can't move via MDI
For the last several months and a couple demo licenses I have been trying to get CNC11 working. I debated on posting my CNC11 issue separately but I believe the issue I am seeing with CNC11 and Mach to be related. These issues seem to have occurred since recovering the MPU11 via the boot stick. Once...

Re: CNC11 Jog Panel Communication Fault
Confirmed: Jog Panel Required is set to No, but I am still unable to continue the CNC11 installation instructions since this fault will not allow me to access the MDI screen. Reviewing the error logs shows this Jog Panel fault is the only fault that is not cleared. I managed to bypass the Jog Panel...
