Title say it all mostly. Would be great to hear from anyone using the Acorn on a CNC plasma table and with what THC. Especially the Neuron THC.

OK, I see your point. But I am from Texas so the motors aren't that big!

I am curious why you say they would not be good for driving an axis? 2500 rpm with 3hp.

They have nema 56 size frames in ClearPath units. They range from 1hp to 3hp power and are 2500 rpm. Or am I missing something?

Just for future reference. Teknic just released a whole new line of ClearPath servo/drive units in the much higher power and size rating. All of them have a rpm rating of 2500. Keith told me about them and I checked with an engineer I know at Teknic and he confirmed what Keith told me. Although more...

I use Festo Diadectic(sp ?) I can do all my hydraulic circuit drawing and simulations plus all the wiring diagrams for all the control circuits and control cabinets. I can import .jpegs of actual control modules, etc. It has many photos included plus the symbols of course.

But it isn't cheap!
