You could also easily just use a lighted, DPDT pushbutton and run the light/led in the pushbutton through the second set of contacts to either turn the light on or off to acknowledge the button press. i like that idea! seems to be a fair amount of them available? quick search on automation direct a...

one LED out is for a " Power is on and i am connected to CNC12 all is good" LED the other LED out is for general purpose Button LED power. the additional 5vdc power in connection is to help drive everything if you start connecting a million LED's together. and go over the USB 5vdc amp limit

i like the gear boxes! and the rest of the mechanical look better than most budget routers.
bolt up Leadshine closed loop stepper motors (if on a budget) which will give good performance as well and connect to acorn and you'd have a nice little machine.
