Re: Lathe with stepper motors - limit switch crash
Let me try to clear the confusion. If both of the software travel limits, positive and negative, are set to 0, that is telling the control that there is no software travel limit set for either direction on that axis. When you home a machine, you are NOT actually setting a software limit. You are pro...

Re: MPG cable JST connector number?
The manufacturer part number for the MPG connector is PADP-24V-1-S and you can order them here https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/jst-sales-america-inc/PADP-24V-1-S/455-2146-ND/1300227 while the manufacturer part number for the pins for that connector is SPH-001T-P0.5L and you can order them ...

Re: CNC10 update
You are correct with the exception of using TB213. If your existing system is running CNC10 v1.51, that was based on a Red Hat Linux operating system while CNC10 v2.72 is based on an OpenSuse 10.2 Linux operating system. That means that if you wish to run CNC10 v2.72, a new SSHD will be needed. You ...

Re: Looking for a wiring schematic for the legacy servo3IO
The attached schematic shipped out with that system, A50026, which is just the basic wiring schematic. You can use this schematic or the previous one I attached.

Re: Enable C axis in intercon offline?
Your 3rd or 4th axis label has to be set to C and either parameter 93 or 94, depending on which axis is your C axis, will need to be set to 16. Then in Intercon, after pressing F3(Insert)->F10(Other), you should see the F3(C Axis) button which allows you to turn the C axis on and off as well as the ...

Re: OAK Enable Axis
Unfortunately, the PLC program doesn't control those outputs so there is no way to force them. They are handled by the CNC11 software. You should just be able to press F3(MDI). That will energize all of your axes. If you don't have things wired in such as axis encoders or fault signal or etc. which ...

Re: Getting 8000CPR out of a 2000 line encoder?
On a typical encoder, you have 2 signals, A and B. Each individual signal has 2 states that it can be in, either ON or OFF. Since you have 2 signals that have 2 independent states, there are 4 possible combinations for those signals - They can both be ON, they can both be OFF, or one of them can be ...

Re: Ethernet switch?
I don't think it would have a designated name for it but it would probably have a description like 8-pole 1-throw switch. That is why I mentioned the DB9 switch box. They were used back in the day for selecting different serial devices. All those boxes did was switch the terminals from one output po...

Re: Ethernet switch?
As long as those components are tying pin 1 of the input connector to pin 1 of output A connector when switched to A and pin 1 of output B connector when switched to B and so on for all of the pins, that should work. I have seen some Y-splitters in the past that do not do this. They only tied certai...
