Re: Zero position for bar feed location on lathe
Ok probably an easy solution but I am not sure how to do this. I am trying to manually feed the barstock by hand to the Z zero position for a new part. So basically I am making a bunch of the same part but need to feed to the zero position manually by hand to start the next part. Is their a way to ...

Re: Clean out Question
lavrgs: In your Intercon program you are turning cutter comp before the clean-out cycle. The clean-out cycle automatic compensates for the diameter of the cutter. Remove the Comp Right line. If you changed the size of the cutter diameter you need to re-post the Intercon file. I changed your Intercon...

Re: Cutter Comp Wear Only?
Replaying to ridekp first. Negative tool diameter In your post I did not see what version of CNC12 Acorn you are running or if you are in imperial (inches) or Metric? Please post a Report. I tested with Acorn V4.60 in inches and you are able to use a negative number. I put a small number in and as l...

Re: Update from older software version
OK, I tried something on a hunch and reduced the speed to 400rpm. The thread was much cleaner this time but not perfect. The other thing is...it did a 1.25 pitch even though I'm specifying 1.0 in the program. That being said, I started off by customizing a library entry that was 1.25, so it looks l...

Re: Custom Thread
Is there a way to input a custom thread in Intercon? I can insert a g76 or g92 Command or change an existing thread that is already in Intercon. I think it would be more convient to have my custom threads already in intercon for other jobs. I am running intercon Lathe 4.5 (pro version). Thank for h...

Re: Can Intercon Support Custom M Codes....
Refer 10.7.6 F6-Other and further F6 for M&G Code (image enclosed)..... Wish to know whether Intercon can accept Customized M codes - supported by mfuncxx.mac files - in the intercon program? Final target is to put these M Codes before and after the actual machining program built using standard...

Re: How to cut away from the chuck
Something weird is going on. If I remove the finish pass, then the roughing executes. However at the end of the roughing cycle, it goes crazy and starts moving towards the chuck. You can see in the photo below, it chewed into my work holding jig. [/quot Looking at both of your programs it looks lik...

Re: How to cut away from the chuck
Need more information to be able to help you. Need a report, the program you have - the Intercon program if you are doing this in Intercon and a picture of the part.
With the rain here today I just can not see that far to see into your shop to see the control, your part and print.
