Re: SEM servo motor with allin1

The peak torque you could achieve would be less than what it would be with using the AC/DC.

ALLIN1DC: 75 in/lb continuous, 127.5 in/lb peak
AC/DC-30: 75 in/lb continuous, 150 in/lb peak at recommended setting (peak current = 2 times continuous)

Re: SEM servo motor with allin1

It would most likely run reasonably well with the ALLIN1DC. However we recommend using an AC/DC for maximum performance.

Re: allinone question

We offer 2000 line and 10,000 line encoders. We require at least 1000 line count though typically you will need at least 2000 line. Please take a look at the below thread for full details on how to determine what you will need.

Re: Linux for Mill 3.12? DC-aio.

CNC11 is only Windows based. The look and feel of the software has been kept consistent though. While there were advantages to Linux in the past, Windows is now a very stable platform. It also does not require you to jump though hoops to set up basic functionality such as networking. Driver support ...

Re: Plasma Control

We don't have a basic plasma PLC program as of this time. However I know it has been done for one off custom jobs using a custom PLC program and the ADD4AD4AD board (4 Analog I/O). Scott is out for the day but he should able to elaborate further.

Re: Can I get hollow shaft encoders in .375 (F18?)

The encoders come with the hardware to mount them to the shaft. http://www.ajaxcnc.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/comp_encoder_large.jpg We have 3/8" encoders in hollow shaft. Actually all of our encoders are hollow shaft. If your previous encoder was not differential quadrature your cable will...

Re: Custom Jog Panel

A faster way would be to customize the Aux keys on our jog panel to suit your needs. Alternatively you can do it through the I/O and customize your PLC program. This will probably use up quite a bit of I/O. You will most likely want a PLCADD1616 or PLCADD6464 for this.

Re: Will the DC all in one board run these motors?

Depending on the shaft size some are F18 and some are F14, they are both functionally the same.

Re: Will the DC all in one board run these motors?

Those motors should work great with the ALLIN1DC. The ALLIN1DC can handle up to 40 in-lb, 180VDC, and 15 amps (continuous, the 39 amps on the label is your peak). While your encoders may carry the neccessary signal they almost certainly are too low of a line count. Typically anything under 1000 line...
