Re: Bottom of Virtual Control Panel Missing
Looking at your report the screen resolution is set to 1600x900 and it should be set to 1920x1080. Second, did you create the desktop shortcut or did the system? There's a switch you need in the shortcut to adjust for the taskbar. Shawn, I'll change the screen resolution. The shortcut was created b...

Bottom of Virtual Control Panel Missing
When I upgraded to the newest version of CNC12, the bottom part of the VCP was left blank.
For those looking closely at my report, you will see a lot of strange movements. I am installing new ball screws on my mill.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Screw Mapping
I recently upgraded from X and Y lead screws which used screw compensation to X and Y ball screws. I redid my screw compensation tables and turned on the X table. Regardless of the value in the table for 1", I see no change in the measured error at this position. I am able to tune X backlash an...

Re: old problem resurfaced: jumping cursor
Gary,
With the display’s digitizer connected, no cursor jumps for the last hour. I’ll be ready if it acts up again.
Thanks,
Rick
PS: used machine all day with no problems. Call it solved. Don’t know if fix was restoring monitor to factory state or cleaning screen with glass cleaner.

Re: old problem resurfaced: jumping cursor
Gary, Once again the answer is easy; the question is hard. No jumps for about an hour. I cleaned the screen, reset the display, plugged the usb back in. I’ll wait another hour to see if it acts up. If not, I’ll get back to my ballscrews. If the problem returns, I’ll unplug that usb right away. Thank...

Re: old problem resurfaced: jumping cursor
Gary, Thanks for the response. It is an ASUS VT207N. I totally missed the fact that it could be sending spurious cursor moves to the PC! Fifteen minutes ago I unplugged its USB cable and the cursor has not jumped yet. I'll wait another 45 minutes before getting out the champagne. If this display's d...

old problem resurfaced: jumping cursor (SOLVED)
This problem went away for over a year but is back again. I put the cursor on a spot on the CNC12 screen and after a random time ranging from a few seconds to 2 minutes, it jumps someplace else. Sometimes it is so bad that I can't enter a number more than a few digits. When I am in the Wizard window...

A printed copy of the manual?
I would like to have a nicely bound printed copy of the CNC Mill manual. The local copy store said they would not touch it because it is copywritten. If I had a release from the author, they would copy it. However, they want 20 cents per side so we are talking $71 plus tax. That kills the deal. An e...
