Re: x axis motor jumping

Re: spindle
When you say "spindle pressure sensor" , do you mean to sense the amount of torque the spindle is exerting to turn the tool (spindle load),
or the amount of straight line force that the tool is experiencing as it is being pushed through the workpiece?

Re: SEM MT30R4-33 servo wiring?
So , did you spin the otherwise unconnected motor by hand and did the two mystery wires generate a voltage?

Re: SEM MT30R4-33 servo wiring?
I believe that the extra two wires were actually a thermal switch , which opened on overheat.
If the wires appear to be a closed contact (low ohms) and doesn't generate any voltage when the shaft is spun by hand,
then they probably are a thermal switch.

Re: Customer First Impressions
I notice the red variable transformer (variac) at the bottom of your one cabinet. Variac's often have lower power ratings that dedicated step down transformers. Have you checked the total watts/amps rating of your variac against the total draw of your sytem? What is the variac's job? Stepping down t...

The z sign is actually meant to be an AC voltage sign , as in sine wave ~rppman wrote: Then the ac side connects to the z sign? Just wanting to make sure.
