Re: Tool Library Offset

I just realized something. I incorrectly had you set the wrong value for parameter 3. Bit 1 of that parameter is used to set the Z Reference to the Z home position. I incorrectly told you to set that parameter to 1 but bit 1 yields a value of 2. If you set parameter 3 to 2, you will see Z Ref set to...

Re: Tool Library Offset

Do you have internet access at the control? If so, please email support@centroidcnc.com with your TeamViewer ID and password along with a phone number to be able to reach you so that we can figure out what's going on.

Re: Trouble setting up Acorn with DG4S-16035 Drivers

If you did connect the EN1 to the Reset line on that drive, that drive will never run. The EN1 is an enable signal that gets pulled low when the control is ready to enable an axis. When the control enables that axis, that signal is actually placing the drive into a reset state which means that it wi...

Re: Tool Library Offset

As always, please provide a current report from your system when you are having an issue so that we can assist you. Without a current report from that system, we can only speculate what your issue is. You need to set Z Ref because without that, all of the offsets in your tool offset library mean abs...

Re: Tool Library Offset

The Z axis software travel limit is a finite value. It should be the total distance that your Z axis can travel before it will hit something. You can use the spindle nose as your Z Reference but based on the report that you attached, the Z Reference was never set. When you are in the Tool Offset lib...

Re: Tool Library Offset

Looking at your report, you have the software travel limit for the Z axis set to -6.375 but yet the Z axis Part0 in WCS#1 is set to -6.86 which is past your software travel limit. I also see that you have offsets in your Tool Offset library but it appears that Z Reference has not been set. You need ...

Re: Acorn control panel issues

Sorry for the delayed response as I had to speak with our engineers to figure out what your issues may be related to. 1- Not exactly sure what you mean. Please clarify. Are you stating that when the spindle is in manual mode, that the + and - buttons on the spindle section of the virtual control pan...

Re: PM-25MV Spindle control with acorn

The COM terminal for the analog speed request is the same COM as your inputs which is 24V GND. I am assuming that there are 3 connections to your pot, +V, GND, and wiper. If so, you should be able to connect the GND to COM and the wiper to AOUT. Unfortunately, I do not know what the common is for th...

Re: M 40 to remote pc ?

I am assuming that since you are mentioning the 9 pin and the 25 pin connectors, you are trying to send programs to the M40 control via the RS-232 port, correct. If so, the attached tech bulletin may help you out. Some systems required an additional software, CNC7DNC, which I have attached the manua...

Re: Drive Fault problem

If it's switching between Continuous and Incremental mode than the system is not seeing you press the ALT key. Make sure to press and hold the CTRL and ALT keys at the same time prior to pressing the I key. If that still doesn't work, try a different ALT key on your keyboard. Typical keyboards will ...
