Re: Offset after homing sequence (router table)
Thank you guys for all your replies, such a wealth of knowledge! After reading Keith's suggestion I think he's right and WCS is probably more appropriate for what I'm looking for. It sounds like offsetting the Machines home is a bandaid for what I want. Now for an even more embarrassing question, ca...

Re: Offset after homing sequence (router table)
Hey Dan, I apologize, I may not be using the right technical terms... I am using my (3) proximity sensors when doing the homing sequence (albeit, I really don't understand the difference between home/limit switches as it seems like the same function IE my home switch also acts like a soft limit befo...

Offset after homing sequence (router table)
When I home my machine with my proximity sensors it leaves g54 off the table. I assume there a way to change the distance the machine offsets itself once those sensors are tripped on the x and y axis. Can some point me in the right direction? I came up empty handed searching "home offset" ...

Re: Help: Wiring up VFD (Commander SE)
Currently I can operate my spindle manually through the VFD but I am struggling to control it with acorn. Given this VFD has a lot of options and parameters to choose from I was hoping someone can assist me and determine which parameter setting would be best fit for the Acorn. I believe Setting A1.A...

Re: Help: Wiring up VFD (Commander SE)
Haha, yes as I was drawing it I realized how shaky my hand is. I will remove the "Enable" circuit. Is this just another safety feature? I assume it is just a second layer of safety since you recommended it to be tied into a E-Stop relay? I did this according to your prior recommend...

Re: Help: Wiring up VFD (Commander SE)
Marty, Thanks for taking the time to write out a great explanation. After receiving my relay board, re-watching your video and this post over and over again, things started to make sense! I tried to draw out the schematic and it got really messy (first attempt ever drawing a schematic haha) **the ou...

Re: Quick Tip: IF you have Home/Limit Switches, here is an example and description on setting them up
Thanks Keith, I will look into the file and study it some more! The other day I was trying to wire up some NPN Proximity switches and got a little confused as the Acorn wiring diagram and other diagrams/info I came across only showed 2 wire connections (while the Proximity sensors have 3) With the h...

Re: AXYZ5014 CNC Router retrofit attempt #2
Sorry for the lack of updates, it's been hard finding time mess around with the table but got some progress made! I cleaned up some of the wiring and mounted the Acorn board, power supply's and distribution blocks. (It's far from the ideal setup but it was originally AXYZ's design, then I retrofitte...

Re: Help: Wiring up VFD (Commander SE)
In your cases pulling the output low will not activate the optos on your switch inputs on your VFD, they want to see a high of 24V. For example if you look at the schematic picture of your VFD wiring you will see Input 3 when a switch is closed will put 24V on pin #10, and that will start the motor...
