Re: Running Centroid CNC In Virtual PC Environment
I am not exactly sure if everyone is overlooking the most important reply that was on this thread but the PC HAS to have a specific IP address in order to communicate with the Centroid hardware which is 10.168.41.1. The only way that I can see something like this working would be if every instance o...

Re: How to connect a TouchPlate and a ToolSetter at the same time
Having parameters 18 and 257 set to the same input but the opposite polarity makes no sense. If you wish to use the same detect signal for the probe as well as your tool touch-off, then set them to the same input as well as the same polarity. If you do not wish to use the control's tool touch-off de...

Re: New setup, drive error 9031
Looking at the report, you have the DriveOK designated as input 5. Is anything physically wired to input 5? If not, then set that input to Unused or switch it from NC to NO in the Wizard.

Re: New setup, drive error 9031
The report.txt file is one of the files that are in the report.zip file. The report.zip file contains all of the files associated with the setup of your system. That is why we always ask for that file. The DriveOK is an output from the drive to our control that tells the control that the drive is no...

Please attach the report.zip file. Do you have a DriveOK signal wired in?

Re: G0678 CNC Conversion Thread
It is not that critical if you are using it for a speed calculation like on a spindle. Where it may become an issue is when you are trying to position an axis like on any of our closed loop components such as the ALLIN1DC, OAK, etc. as then it means that the position may be off since the control mis...

Re: G0678 CNC Conversion Thread
Dave, The Encoder Quadrature Error means that the signals skipped a beat. That means that instead of seeing A-B-A-B-A-B, the control saw A-B-A-A-B-A. That is typically a signal integrity issue which means that it's either an issue with the encoder or the cabling connections. If the encoder counts in...

Re: How to connect a TouchPlate and a ToolSetter at the same time
Parameter 11 tells the control which input to use for the probe while parameter 44 tells the control which input to use for the TT1. From the main screen press F1(Setup)->F3(Config)->F3(Params).

Re: X axis stopped working
Parameter 35 was set to 1 which told the control that the 1st axis was the spindle axis. Since they did not have a spindle encoder installed in their system, we set that parameter to 0.

Re: GHOST? Noise? Bad Luck? Could use some ideas..
Looking at your report, you have the Motor Revs/In set to 1 while the Encoder Counts/Rev is set to 8126 for the X and Y axes and 8216 for the Z axis. That doesn't seem correct. Please verify that as the steps for a stepper motor are typically a value of 200, 400, 800, 1600, 2400, etc. I also see tha...
