Re: 325 Limit Error?

You have limits defined: Axis Label Motor Encoder Lash Comp. Limit Home Dir Screw revs/in counts/rev. (inches) - + - + Rev Comp 1 X 20.0200 2000 0.0104 1 0 1 0 Y N 2 Y 20.0400 2000 0.0046 0 2 0 2 N N 3 Z 20.4400 2000 0.0003 0 3 0 3 N N You should not define plc inputs as limits if they are not each ...

Re: 325 Limit Error?

Not sure it is related, but most of the time when I power up the system (both Acorn and CNCPC get power at same time), CNC12 can't find Acorn although Acorn has heartbeat. I power cycle Acorn and system comes right up. It happens a lot more since the upgrade. Does your PC start the Acorn on boot? I...

Re: 325 Limit Error?

Rick, Please always post a current report when requesting support. Without it, we are completely in the dark as to the cause of any issues. The report contains, among many other things: A log of all errors reported, a log of configuration changes, a copy of the PLC program, a copy of your machine con...

Re: Erroneous Torque Nomenclature?

inch/pounds, oz/inches etc.. provide a much finer grained unit of measurement making it a more appropriate unit of measure for this purpose.

Why don't they use tons instead of grains as a unit of measure for bullets?

Re: Acorn ERRORS during first move

I also noticed that you are not using the ethernet cable provided with the Acorn. You MUST use a shielded ethernet cable. If it's shielded, it will have a metal clip on each end. You said it had been working. When? Did you perform the benchtest initially? Was it working then? When did it stop workin...

Re: Acorn ERRORS during first move

1. Please remove the board that is plugged into the db25. It is a complete unknown and needs to be removed from the equation for troubleshooting. Is it plugged into the db25? I just looked at the picture again and maybe it's just mounted right next to it. Still - see #2 below. 2. Remove all other wi...

Re: Acorn ERRORS during first move

You state this is a single axis machine yet you defined limit switch inputs for 4 axes. You also have a DriveOk/Drive Fault input defined, is this wired? What is plugged into the DB25? Unplug it. We have a schematic for Clearpath, please follow it. I suggest you run the wizard and start with a bench...

Re: voltage on out puts for spindle fwd rev

I should change that to say "All digital outputs". Relay outputs switch whatever voltage you supply to com of the relay.
