If a tool is ok for your jobs, do not change it
IMHO the only logical reason for other tools is if they give you an advantage in cost, speed or precision if one of them is at the moment nok.
With wine discard logic

Re: New Build Steel Frame Router
i updated TB1 "out of round circles/arcs" https://www.centroidcnc.com/dealersupport/tech_bulletins/uploads/1.pdf 👍 From my experience, you can have nearly perfect round cutting with 0.04mm backlash, if corrected and setup ok, but anything over 0.01 mechanically would show up on the surfac...

Re: Video Walkthrough of How I Use the Acorn
I have the Z-Finder from Sorotec, the 3D Finder is better than probes for < 200 bucks, but I have only tested this one from a friend https://www.sorotec.de/shop/3D-Finder---3D-Measuring-sensor-6411-9688.html It is not featuring an angular adjustment, but a good radial adjustment. Kind of soft spring...

Re: Upgrading a Gorilla CNC from Flashcut to Acorn
Yep, I also would use a small SSR, since ENA is not time critical.
Or if the drivers are enabled by default, I would skip connecting ENA, since CNC12 can force home after E-Stop but not if a single drive is disabled.

Re: Video Walkthrough of How I Use the Acorn
This chart was supplied with the probe I guess? I have used some types of probes in the <200€ range and made probemaps with them. Non was as good as a KP3, but maybe ok for hobby. But for me, the most annoying thing was that none of the cheap probes stayed in center for a longer time and some of the...
