Re: Acorn 4.62 - JTech Laser 7w
Hey Peter, I personally just create the project and then export it as gcode, upload to acorn and burn, no need to do anything else, Lightburn can actually connect to other machines directly and send code like a controller, which is what i think they are working on. You just need to setup your machin...

Re: Acorn 4.62 - JTech Laser 7w
Hello Peter, Sorry to be the guy to recommend something else, but I do use Fusion 360 for design and a 7 watt Jtech and was never able to get it just right for post and using a laser. So on someone's recommendation i tried Lightburn software, its cheap and for Laser design and gcode, its honestly th...

Re: Parameter 56 Inverse time Setting for all files
Thanks that the direction , i read the manual but am new to this type of control. So i wasnt sure if G94 would cancel just for the file, or in general. Ill do more testing but thanks for the insight. That should get me on the way.

Re: Parameter 56 Inverse time Setting for all files
Okay so I testing this definitely needs to be changed back for a regular file to 4 which is the default value or it affects the cut. Just in case anyone else sees the issue. Now I just need to figure out if I can have a macro change it and if it requires a system reboot to take effect. If anyone kno...

Parameter 56 Inverse time Setting for all files
A little background - I am new to 4th axis and had an issue with the speed of my engraving using the 4th axis. I realized it was due to the program i used not adding the speed for the A axis in degrees/min separately and was able to get it to work by adding G93 to my file and using Inverse Time by s...

Re: 4th Axis slower than a snail <resolved, inverse time>
Okay i think i figured it out but leads me to one last question. I changed parameter 56 to 8 for inverse time and added a G93 to my gcode. My question is, can i leave that parameter and cut regularly or does it need to be changed back before i try to cut or machine a regular file without the A axis....

Re: 4th Axis slower than a snail <resolved, inverse time>
Does anyone know of anyway to get this with lightburn or some sort of conversion for the file afterward? I tried to engrave something and instead of 6 minutes it took 1 hour. I know why but trying to figure out the best way to fix it. I know its because its inch/min instead of degrees, but a little ...
