Re: Wanted; turret encoder for Hardinge CHNC2

The table comes from the Centroid Retrofit of Hardinge dated 2004 - I consider it just a reference. Based on the fact it is using different INPUTs for the hall cells vs Todays ALLIN1DC, is not time to start swapping wire. I will have to position my turret to all the positions and compare what I get...

Re: Does the Oak work with my existing Fanuc 10T drives and motors?

"Yaskawa, Delta and SureServo2 are the only DIY recommended servo drive packages for use with Oak. While many other drives have been used with Oak successfully they are NOT a DIY project and are done by seasoned CNC integrators. For DIY sales there is no guarantee from Centroid when using Oak w...

Does the Oak work with my existing Fanuc 10T drives and motors?

I have a live tooling lathe that lost the spindle drive and has enough other problems it's isn't cost effective to fix it. Since it doesn't go to ready state now due to the drive being dead, would it be a better option to use the X and Z drives and respective motors with a Oak and fit it to a differ...

If you get into the turret encoder I'd love to see pics and figure out how close it is to mine.

Check out this build https://www.cnczone.com/forums/south-bend-machinery/50685-cnc-2.html It's long but I believe he addressed the turret encoder As near as I can tell he built one to work with his system? I left a message for him and a couple others there to see if they can give me some pointers. ...

Wanted; turret encoder for Hardinge CHNC2

My encoder had a smoking habit. I need another, or if I find detailed pictures of one I may be able to round up enough info to fix it. I don't know if the CHNC1 is the same or not, but looking at that may be help also.
Thanks

Lower Left Corner....CNT is CONTACTOR That legend is a location chart. No idea what T1, TB1, it would be real handy to know items like that are. TB+Terminal Block CNT=Contactor T1=Transformer PS=Power supply Loren, if you can't identify the components on the schematic, I think you might struggle wi...
