Re: HEMBRUG DR133 UPDATE
Yes it is a ergotron ! Well spotted ! I'm really happy with it, it's a super well made arm that's for sure. Yes I can see the appeal of gang tools !! Or a hardinge octagonal turret !! Would be nice wIth a 5 or 16 c collet closer and a small air powered bar feed of simple design. Along the lines of t...

Re: Suitability of Acorn controller for lathe
Hi Adrian, I Rigid tap on my Emco pc turn 120 with centroid acorn, just fine. I have spindle encoder and vfd powering a 2.2kw 3phase spindle motor, without braking resistor. Tapping is done at 500rpm. I've programmed this from Intercon (conversational built into cnc12) Method of operation is; If thre...

Re: Where can I buy the Acorn CNC Controller in the United Kingdom.
Foggy just for your info. I'm in the Uk, and have brought 2 Acorn boards direct from centroid. Both arrived within 48hrs !! And the MPG came in less than 48 hrs. Amazing and consistent service.. Happy days Custom charge from DHL was £60.00 for the Acorn board. But what you need to work out is the ex...

Re: ATC Macro / PLC Help please <success!>
Hi Marty, Looking forward to the turret series. As far as myself and chaz are in relation to the macro, we are all working apart from the resetting of the "distance to go". Which is only an issue when running a program. No issue in "mdi" I'm making programs and running them fine,...

Re: ATC Macro / PLC Help please <success!>
Please find attached my report and the program I was using, which was written with intercon. Both my self and Chaz use the same macro for tool turret. we both have different turrets on different machines, but both turrets have no switches or sensors of any kind. My turret will index any of its 8 ava...

Re: Hembrug DR-133 NC new project
Thanks Marty.
Have to say your videos where a great help and a good source of information during my Emco 120 conversion from Mach 3 to Acorn.
Keep up the great work.
Graham

Re: Hembrug DR-133 NC new project
Good point !
Gang tools would be a way to go.
Originally I think they where tool room machines.
I've seen them with a Swiss multifix on, and there's one on the net that the guy put a turret on.
Plenty of options for sure
