Thanks for the info. The mfr. says if you add a 2 kohm resistor in series with the pulse and direction inputs that 24 vdc will work. This in an update to their original manual. I checked it out after running into the same problem that JimW had and sure enough the axes all started to work.

Why would connecting to the DB25 connector be any different than connecting to the headers? As far as I can determine from the documentation Stepperonline provides they seem to recommend staying with the 24 volt signals, which Acorn supplies handily. I solved the problem with the drive. Turns out that the parameter settings on the Centroid supplied schematic were not quite correct for this drive. Particularly in the electronic gearing. Scaling was waaaay off. These are original parameters supplied with changes in red that made it operational 1. ...

Thanks, Marty. I have tried that. When I invert, it never turns on. i have tried to use PLC Detective, but, I can't find anything out of the ordinary. I am thinking there is something in the my cable from Estun to Acorn that might be goofy. I am going to check that.
