Re: Fusion 360 Mill Post Processor for Acorn with additional Features (New Version 4)
This is not what I am seeing. In Fusion when I have a setup's Work Offset = 1, I get a G54 every time. When I change the Work Offset = 10, THEN I get an E10. What is your Work Offset? V3 had a problem setting everything to G54 even when I wasn't supposed to. https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.ph...

Re: Pulse speed on Acorn/physical speed/G0/G01
Hi there, I have the Acorn sending pulses to three Sigma7 drives from Yaskawa. Yaskawa requires the max input pulse rate from an "open collector" source to be at 200Kpps. Since the Acorn is an open collector source, I have set the max pulse rate setting at 200,000. This change of the puls...

Re: Tool Holder Question: BT30 vs. ISO30
my solution is to have a special, longer pullstud for use with BT30 so I end up with the same overall length and can buy either ISO or BT. I am using the 31109 pullstud from maritool.com on my BT30 tool holders. What Pullstud are you using to make the BT work on the ISO? It's unlikely you'd need th...

Tool Holder Question: BT30 vs. ISO30
I am looking at replacing my water-cooled BT30 spindle with an air-cooled model. I am trying to figure out if I buy a new spindle that is designed for ISO30 tool holders will it work with my BT30 tool holders. This is what I know: Both tool holders use a 30 taper and the taper dimensions appear iden...

Re: Spindle VFD sizing
So as long as the spindle's Full Load Amps don't exceed 25 amps I should be fine.

Spindle VFD sizing
I currently have a 4.5kw water cooled spindle with a 5.5kw VFD. I am needing to replace the spindle, can I replace it with a 5.5kw spindle? Looking at various places that sell spindle/VFD bundles it seems that a 4.5kw spindle is always bundled with at 5.5kw VFD, and a 5.5kw spindle is always bundled...

Re: Fusion 360 Mill Post Processor for Acorn with additional Features (New Version 3)
Can you explain a little more why you need to know which tool is being used in each WCS? I would use it as a reality check. Here is a real example: I use G55 for the top of the part and engrave with T3 @ Z -0.0625 and G54 for the bottom of the part to cut out the part with T3 @ Z -0.005. In this ex...

Re: Fusion 360 Mill Post Processor for Acorn with additional Features (New Version 3)
Swissi, I do quite a bit of machining with multiple WCS in one file, I would find it very useful to modify the "write tool list" function to list the tool offset info by WCS. (T1 D=0.5 ZMIN=-0.1755 - flat end mill - 0.5 Flat End Mill) (T4 D=0.125 ZMIN=-0.3 - flat end mill) N10 G90 G94 G17 ...

interesting CNC build: Table Saw
This was very interesting, but it would have been much easier with an Acorn.
