Re: Bench testing new OAK with CNC12

thank you everyone. Regarding the comment: When you press ENTER, does the machine not display "Press Cycle Start"? It does display that now: When I enter MDI, type in "M3 S750" and hit 'ENTER' - it comes up saying "PRESS CYCLE START TO CONTINUE" there is no fault: press...

Re: Bench testing new OAK with CNC12

SUCCESS!!!! Marty - Thank you so much for posting your video. It solved the problem. I'm embarrassed to say what the problem was, but I know it's important to let you all know how dumb I feel. The first hold up that I was having was because of the missing instructions for changing the parameters. Th...

Re: Bench testing new OAK with CNC12

Thanks. I really feel like either i'm really dumb and am missing something staring right out me, or there's something that i'm not seeing because of the instructions being for for CNC11. Let me start from the beginning: I'm following the instructions on page 19 of the OAK installation manual. The on...

Re: Bench testing new OAK with CNC12

DannyB - Thank you. It looks like none of the outputs are set to 'green' io - 241-314.PNG these don't seem to be able to be toggled to green - so I assume that I need to do that elsewhere. I'm going to have to read up on PLC detective and how to use it. I see the 'watch' tab, but I do not understand...

Re: Bench testing new OAK with CNC12

Thanks for the clarification. I have changed the PLC Source to "Standard" I still can not read any voltage from the board. I have decided to move on to laying out the board and all the components of the control panel on the back plate. Spending the last week on trying to read spindle volta...

Re: Bench testing new OAK with CNC12

I completely agree... much better use of my time to hook up the servos and move ahead.... the manual is very specific and says in bold to complete this step, so I figured I'd follow instructions for once. (my wife wishes I followed instructions more often) I will try to reinstall the PLC program. I ...

Re: Bench testing new OAK with CNC12

Bench testing status: I am attaching a fresh report.zip along with the error log file (msg_log.txt) I am now able to enter MDI commands, but unable to get past the faults. I am attempting to measure the voltage from the 0-10V dc output on the board per the bench testing instructions. Every time I en...

Re: Bench testing new OAK with CNC12

Marty - All of this is to bench test the board and test the voltage output of the board to be sure that it measures 0-10VDC. That seems to be the only test that is listed. I watched your bench test video again on the Allin1DC thinking that i might get some additional information from that. It seems ...

Re: Bench testing new OAK with CNC12

DannyB - 8 installs in the last few weeks.... good job. Setting parameter 35 to 0 has got me to the MDI prompt to test the DC voltage (0-10 VDC) from the board. This seems to be the only test of the OAK board and the reason for going through all of this frustration. Now that I can get the MDI up, i'...
