Re: New Router for Acorn

I really like that machine. With the 4th axis along the side you will be able to make some amazing things. With that big 10HP vacuum pump you might have to run with a rotary phase converter. It will have slightly higher operational costs but will be able to support multiple three phase motors. Russ

Re: Problem out of nowhere!

Since this is happening with both Mary and Daniel, I would think it is highly unlikely that the Gcode is the cause. I think Mary has used Fusion 360 as I recall from some of her videos, and Daniel is also using that program. Fusion might have a bug. Daniel, Mary It would be interesting to generate t...

Re: Display G code after loading a job

ShawnM,
I had the same exact question, and use your exact work around by opening the gcode file with an editor to check. Thanks

Re: Spindle does not respond to MDI or program control

One thing to check is on the spindle setup page. What speed range did you populate. If you put the minimum speed as say 9000 RPM, since you have an air cooled spindle, and you issue the command M3 S6000 it will not turn on the spindle since it does not meet the minimum RPM. Check this out and I thin...

Re: Step motor from Axis Z move only UP

You might want to check you input ports in particular port 5, make sure you don't have the touchoff input configured incorrectly. This is exactly how it behaves if it is configured wrong it will not let you go Z negative, to protect the probe.

Re: No connection to Acorn after few months of no use

Most likely cause is Windows Defender has turned on your firewall, especially if you don,t have cncm.exe listed as an exception

Re: Tool Check now stops the program

Mary,
Post a little video. Since this load has not changed, my guess is a parameter somewhere got changed somehow.

Re: Vibrateing & looseing steps

Todd,
There have been some posts by other people using some Gecko drivers that had an issue due to the pulse rates they were being driven. You might want to change Acorn parameter 968 to 12. The sets the pulse rate down to 100,000, and see if that has any impact.

Re: Another DYN4 and Acorn Losing Steps Issue

Check in another posting about a guy having the same issues, who posted this morning. He failed to put on a ground and as soon as he did it fixed his issue. Re: Huanyang VFD issue

These type of VFD's work perfect with Acorn. You have to change a couple of parameters in the VFD to tell it you are getting the Speed from the analog inputs and you have to tell it you are controller from an external sources for FWD and REVERSE. I have this same VFD on my system with the Acorn and ...
