Re: Contactors? Best reasonably priced

Are MCCB and MC1 separate components? Also, what are you planning on using for a noise filter?

Re: Contactors? Best reasonably priced

I don’t really understand how the MCCB and MC1 are wired up in that diagram. I know how a relay works but the diagram makes no sense to me. Can someone explain? I’ll need to do something for my single Dyn4 when I get around to wiring it up.

Re: My first cnc

Marty is correct, it’s just that some of their package deals come with a breakout board. They don’t add much to the cost. If you go that route, search well before purchasing. Often times, the same package is listed at different prices. No idea why that is. I bought a package like this for my mini la...

Re: My first cnc

I’ve been happy (for the money spent) with my setup purchased off eBay. Search Longs motors...they have many package deals that work well. I went with their Nema 23 motors rated around 400 oz/in, with drivers, power supply, and breakout board. Not the fastest but still decent and it’s hard to beat t...

Re: Setting up tool offsets

Okay, thanks...that makes sense. I’m assuming the best way to find the X offset for the day is using the skim cut method?

Previously asked question...does it matter what WCS you’re in when setting your offsets for the tool library? It doesn’t seem to matter but I’m not sure.

Re: Setting up tool offsets

I AM trying to understand how this works, not just blindly looking for a procedure to follow. I’m also hoping someone can answer my questions. Seems to me, for a lathe, if your tool offset in X is defined, you shouldn’t need to set it again for the part offset. As I said, I do not understand how thi...

Re: A VERY Annoying "Feature" of This Forum...

I have remember me checked and 99% of the time, I’m always logged in. Every once in a while, however, it will log me out. Hmm. I use Google Chrome. No such issue with me at all.... You and Ray should say which browsers you use.... Safari on the phone and Chrome on the PC. It’s happened on both but ...

Setting up tool offsets

I’ve been trying to set up my tools using the procedure in Franco’s YouTube video and I’m a little confused on a couple of things. His procedure is, if I understand correctly, as follows: 1. Home machine 2. Activate G59 because it’s an unused WCS with zero values 3. Make sure all WCS have zero for t...
