Are MCCB and MC1 separate components? Also, what are you planning on using for a noise filter?
MCCB is separate from MC1. MC1 is the contactor.

I bought these. They haven't arrived yet. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00 ... UTF8&psc=1

Re: Contactors? Best reasonably priced

I don’t really understand how the MCCB and MC1 are wired up in that diagram. I know how a relay works but the diagram makes no sense to me. Can someone explain? Below is a single phase 110 or 220 input at R/S. MCCB is a circuit breaker. I used fuses. The branch has estop, the Master Control 1 coil,...

Re: My first cnc

Welcome to the Acorn club! Do I need stepper motors and drivers? Yes. Are there certain stepper drivers that are specifically for G and M code use? No, as long as they accept Step and Direction for control. I have a budget What is it? How big is the router? Need more data... When I buy the steppers ...

Re: Erroneous Torque Nomenclature?

What things do you need to apply units of force to in very small amounts? I'm curious. Small fixed camera lenses, and screws that hold Borosilicate Glass panel mounts. I use oz-in torque testers for checking plastic injected molded assemblies all the time. One job is 6 to 14 oz-in. What's that in l...

Re: Emco compact 8 Acorn Conversion progress

Steady as she goes. I do a little, then test, do a little... I wish I had two weeks off work. I could finish this whole project. As it is I get about 4 hours on the weekends when I am not traveling. WOW! Impressive! I hope you haven't forgotten anything! LOL, I never built a panel before an...

In most cases, a generic one will work just fine. It's only in extreme cases you should have to resort to custom designing one. In many cases, a simple reverse diode is all you really need.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for!

Re: Coil Suppresion?

A typical DC coil "snubber will consist of a diode in parallel with a series-connected resistor and capacitor. There are actually at least 3 different circuit methods for DC coils that I am aware of. One of these is sold by Centroid in their web store. I've seen it. That one doesn't have a diode as...

Re: Contactors? Best reasonably priced

I am ordering components for my panel. I need 50A magnetic contactors according to DMM. Can that be correct for a 1kW drive?? Seems really high. Where is the best place to buy these at reasonable prices? This threw me for a loop as well... Here's what I found when i was having the same problem: If ...
