Denford ORAC w/Acorn conversion for sale
Hi guys, I have a Denford Orac lathe I converted to an Acorn a few years ago when they first came out. I had it all working but I’ve had 2 strokes since then which wiped out any brain cells that understood CNC stuff. I thought I could re-learn the stuff but alas, it ain’t gonna happen; so it needs t...

Re: Schematic templates available?
Having watched most of James' videos, I look forward to seeing the content he comes up with on his Acorn project. I'm sure he will bring much enlightenment. Probably sell some more Acorns as well.

Re: First Production Parts!
Great job Doc; way to go!
I envy your perseverance. Alas, health issues have kept me away from my Acorn projects but I do like to come on the forum & keep up with things from time to time. Great to hear of your success. I know it wasn't as easy as your video implies!

He's BAAaack! Good to see you back Dickeybird! I never left Marty; I just got distracted for a bit. ;) I had another stroke in February, recovered pretty well in a couple months, went back to work, got real busy there & busy at home making parts for my buddy's company. Between that, a bunch of ...

Hello b_laauwen, If you're looking at using a KB speed control for your project, take a look at the KBCC-125R unit. It combines an "anti-plug" reversing relay", a heat Sink and dynamic braking resistor all in one package for 1.5 HP (120v) and 3.0 HP (240v) PM or shunt wound DC motors....

I have the db25 breakout board on standby but haven’t tried it yet since I’m short on space. Hiya jojo, I have a couple of these right angle style DB25 breakounts on my Acorn installs. I was very short on space as well. I got mine on Amazon in 2018 but they no longer have them and they are a little...

Sweet, looks great! All the electrons in that control box will move around in a neat & orderly fashion for sure. No running around hither & yon, unsure where they're supposed to go next!;)
