Re: Modifying HOM, other Macros and Inputs

How to put an external switch for “cycle start”? An external push button cycle start (and many other actions) without using an input can be done with a USB device such as X-Keys or others: http://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=1026&p=8331&hilit=xkeys#p4878 I use a Genovation CP24 which i...

Re: Schematics .dwg file type conversion?

Thanks Andy! I haven't got them to load just yet. I'm having a weird Windows permission error that won't let me save it where I want. I'm at work & ran outta time to mess with it. :x

Schematics .dwg file type conversion?

Hello all, my CAD program won't open the .dwg version used by Centroid which was Draftsight I think. I have opened most all versions of .dxf's & .dwg's before but it says "Unsupported file version" & stops. I know Draftsight is a "free" download but I would to hate learn new software for a couple fi...

Re: 4 axis lathe with Acorn board - third axis not working

Used to writing gcode for my four axis table top CNC, with A as the rotating axis. I would pay money to see a video of that puppy running a job...well almost. I'm sure there are many others here that would like to see what you're doing with it. Do you have videos up already or do we have to M...

Acorn ad on Home Shop Machinist still shows $265.00

Just a heads up that it was mentioned on the HSM forum that the ad still shows the $265.00 introductory price. It might give a visitor to the site something to bitch about?

...there is a wealth of knowledge in that manual. To me it's like drinking from a fire hose!

Also I can not seem to find the "Work-light" button on the control panel. I haven't seen that on mine. I think you'd have to set up an "Aux" key for that.

Re: Acorn Setup

Hiya Bob; I don't think there is manual specifically for CNC12 but CNC11 is the same thing (I think) except for the VCP which just emulates the hardware buttons of the M-series control. Download the CNC11 .pdf & see if it helps. http://www.centroidcnc.com/downloads/centroid_v3.16_mill_operator_manua...

Re: Virtual control panel not showing up

Make sure you're using a 16:9 monitor, not 4:3. It runs but will not show up on a 4:3 unless your system has an option for that A/R & it will have "letterboxing." Don't ask me how I know this.
