Re: Acorn logo for my new PC desktop?

Acorn logos in .png and .jpg in two sizes 600pixels wide and 1920 pixels wide attached. let me know if you need anything else. Uh ya, the Centroid Logo beneath him... :D Yup, today I was planning on combining the logo you sent me Marty with Keith's squirrel in Photoshop but alas, the boss made me a...

Re: Compact 8 lathe servo spindle with acorn?

Perhaps a servo control will do what you want? There are many on the market of course, but AMC is one that comes to mind that's available reasonably priced on ebay if you're working to a budget. I have an AMC BE25A20AC which has a built-in power supply and will work with several motor types. Acorn's...

Re: What size LCD screen is compatible with CNC12 and VCP

Ouch, that hurts. I'm so sorry! Thanks to all that tried to help. Never even dreamed that was the problem. I still use old school monitors because I'm frugal & only replace them when they die. Another case of penny-wise & pound foolish.

I owe you guys a beer or nine.

Re: Adding Home Switches to my RF-30 Mill/Drill

Hi Rick, thanks for taking the time to put that article together. The Acorn side of things in your article will definitely be looked at when I finally get to doing home switches on my machine. Some steel cutting is planned so the magnetic prox. sensors won't be used due to chip accumulation. The pla...

Acorn logo for my new PC desktop?

Hiya Centroid guys, Do you suppose ya'll could have your graphics department do up an artsy-fartsy .jpg image with the Centroid Acorn logo in it? I just received my new (refurbished) W10 PC and would like to proudly display the logo on my desktop when it's not actually running the CNC12 software. Wo...

Re: X Box Controller on Centroid Acorn CNC

That's very clever Rick! I wonder if someone will ever conjure up a driver or plug-in or whatever sorcery is required to allow my XHC HB04 USB Mach3 pendant to work with Acorn? That would really be awesome!

Re: Encoder Basics

Does the recommendation for at least 1000 line encoders apply to mill & lathe spindles as well as axis servos?

edited to add: Sorry guys, looks like I need to RTFM more thoroughly before asking questions! I just saw that the recommended encoder for the Acorn is 2000 lines.

Re: PC's to use

Hi Marty, is there any advantage to getting Win10 "Pro" instead of Home for Acorn? I'm searching for a W10 refurb unit & there seems to be a substantial price difference. I am dedicating it to Acorn & plan no usage other than running Acorn software & couldn't less about the Win...
