Re: 325 Limit Error?

I'm going to be away from my CNC for a little while so will pick up this mystery ASAP.

Thanks for all of your help,

Rick

Re: 325 Limit Error?

I was able to generate the same limit messages by placing a slug of steel on one of the home switches. These are NPN output feeding optos. I guess if the noise spike was large enough and the hardware fast enough, it might catch a spike. I do understand that just because I generated the same message ...

Re: 325 Limit Error?

Setting them to 0 broke home and the ability to run my program. I already had the Wizard set up with only home switches, eStop, and probe defined. All other inputs are set to unused.

Re: 325 Limit Error?

I zeroed out the integers in the Limit - and + columns. Is that what I should have done?

Re: 325 Limit Error?

I reviewed how I handle limit switches and they are all in series and feed into Acorn as an eStop. Acorn cannot see the individual limit switches. I did not get an eStop. My home switches are open collector and do feed directly in to the Acorn's opto isolated inputs. This report was generated after ...

Re: 325 Limit Error?

Rick, Please always post a current report when requesting support. Without it, we are completely in the dark as to the cause of any issues. The report contains, among many other things: A log of all errors reported, a log of configuration changes, a copy of the PLC program, a copy of your machine co...

Re: 325 Limit Error?

Marty, I never tried Graph before. Very useful! It gave no error messages. I ran the job again and had similar results: 1. with spindle powered off, program ran without fault 2. with spindle running but cutter set above part, program ran without fault 3. with spindle running and cutter DOC 10 thou i...

325 Limit Error?

I've started to get error 325 when I run a small program but only when the spindle is running. Sure sounds like an unterminated input picking up noise. Yet I don't see any as I view inputs from Wizard. The manual says 325 is a "limit error". What limit is this?

Thanks in advance,

Rick

Re: Wizard Write Settings problem <answered, follow install instructions>

I went back to my original backed up cncm directory, collected the three files, and replaced the empty ones in the working cncm directory. Now all of my hard earned screw mapping data is back in place. So if I had just followed the install instructions in the first place, would the screw mapping dat...

Re: Wizard Write Settings problem <answered, follow install instructions>

I just discovered than all of my screw mapping data has been zeroed out. From TB058 (Rev2) - Manually Creating Ballscrew Compensation Tables: "Leadscrew compensation data files have names in the form cnc10?.tab, where "?" is the lowercase axis label "x", "y", "z", etc. For example cnc10x.tab, cnc10y...
