I just wanted to say thanks to the centroid team. My 19 year old control had a failure so i sent it back and with a quick turn around for repair at a very good price point i got it back yesterday and 20 minutes later my mill is back in operation.

I have yet to run centroid lathe but have run several others, when you touch off in X you need to enter the part diameter not zero in the part touch off.
AND PLEASE SET YOUR FEEDS EXTREMELY SLOW as in barely moving until you get the hang of it.

There is a reason to use shielded cable and it only does its job if ONE end is grouned.

been running cnc since 97. never need this stuff but i was wondering how it worked so i was just messing with my mill. if you use a G28 it will go to wcs coordinates then machine home. kind of strange. G53 it goes straight to machine coordinates programed. What are you trying to accomplish? Just mes...

wasnt me, i just commented as there is no G54-59 in the program. and he said it was not starting where he set part zero.

I noticed that also but i have never studied my intercon generated programs. they have always worked graphically so i go with it and i have never had a problem.

I dont have an Acorn,Yet but i for one dont do anything in metric, nothing. :lol:

So i downloaded it to see if i could mess around with the control to look at it, no can do but under the windows drop down it says virtual control panel? what is that? wont open either.
