Re: Limit switches thru MX3660 or Acorn?

Do you have the charge pump enabled on the mx3660? If so, it's not going to work under bench test. You will need to define output 3 as a charge pump or disable the charge pump on the mx3660.

Are the motors holding position?

Re: How to program an aux key to home an individual axis (answered)

Spaces are fine between the M91/92 and the /. Maybe you put a space between the / and the axis label?(that wont work)

Good news is it's working now for you so I wouldn't worry about it. (If you wanted to, you could run the command in MDI to confirm.)

Re: Limit switches thru MX3660 or Acorn?

Motion issue? Did I miss something?

If you are having trouble with motion, use the Wizard to select benchtest mode. It will ignore driveok and limits etc..

Re: Limit switches thru MX3660 or Acorn?

They should work just fine as long as the MX3660 is opening and closing the inputs on the DB25 pins 10-13 & pin 15

Re: How to program an aux key to home an individual axis (answered)

No problem.

BTW It is VERY unusual to home X or Z in the negative direction on a lathe and when I say "unusual", I mean I can only think of bad things that could happen when trying to home X or Z on a lathe in a negative direction.

Re: Request: Keyboard shortcuts for all buttons in the VCP

Nearly all keyboard shortcuts are already available simply by pressing Alt-J for keyboard jogging. If you don't want to see the keyboard jogging image on the screen but still want to use the keyboard shortcuts, use the Wizard and go into the spindle setup to select USB jogging. usbdevice.jpg Note: Y...

Re: Acorn ATC for Router

With the defeat limit capability in the Virtual Control Panel, you could easily daisy chain the limits and home switches into a single input without sacrificing anything. If you really wanted the probe, you could configure the probe detect input to monitor an Estop, DriveOk or Limit/Home input as we...

Re: How to program an aux key to home an individual axis (answered)

A couple of things: 1. In the lathe, Z is the first axis, X is the second, there is no "Y". I know you probably understand this and, being a mill person, I often think in terms of X & Y myself but I wanted to clarify for others who may be reading this. 2. Your macro you post here said you are using ...

Programming an aux key to home an individual axis

We mixing topics here. To avoid confusion, please do not post in a topic unless it specifically relates to the original topic. Yes, custom macros are part of that but the OP was specifically asking about using an aux key to re-home an individual axis. I have changed the subject to more accurately re...

Re: Acorn ATC for Router

Hello. For a rack mount style tool changer, nearly all logic is done in the Mfunc6.mac so really the only parameter that needs to be set is parameter 6 to a 1 to let the control know it's an ATC. When a tool change is requested in your program, CNC12 will call mfunc6.mac Assuming 8 tools with #101-#...
