Re: How VFD wires up
it goes like this. 1.) when M6 is issued, cnc12 moves to Tool Change position, closes a Hickory output that is wired to an input on the VFD to tell the VFD to orient and waits for vfd to respond. 2.) then the VFD orients the spindle and then closes an output on the VFD that is wired to a Hickory Inp...

Re: Linear Scale with Acorn 4-axis
yes, as long as the scale has output that matches standard scale / encoder output defined here. https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=921 alternatively others have just bought a cheap DRO to do the same thing. https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=5461&p=80095&...

Re: Fuji servo drives with acorn.
I Really appreciate all the quick response. I hope Centroid can work things out soon with the Plasma and the ACORN6EXP. The ACORN6EXP looks less of a headache and a better fit. In the mean time Ill keep working on the water table and put some lipstick on this pig. J we are working on Plasma THC sup...

Re: Rigid Tapping Setup
It doesn't matter what the exact rpm is. CNC12 uses the encoder to synchronize the Z-axis with the actual rpm as read from the encoder. yep! this is always a common misunderstanding, newbie's think CNC12 is somehow automagically controlling the exact position of the spindle like it is a servo motor...

Re: Axis parameter, writing wrong info
hello.
the ethernet communication errors have nothing to do with cnc12 version numbers. solve them first. there is nothing wrong with v5.08.

Re: "Z compensation" on 4x8 foot CNC router
As an example, what would the compensation files look like for a router-like machine with a 10" x 10" work envelope, with a bowl-like depression in the table? In this example, more Z- compensation is needed at X5Y5; less Z- compensation at X0Y5, X10Y5, X5Y0 and X5Y10; and no Z- compensati...
