Re: Video Walkthrough of How I Use the Acorn
The acorn is quite a good value tbh. Edingcnc starter set is also around the 360 mark. If one opts for linuxcnc and wants to use a mesa card (like most people do) you'll also quickly spend 200+ shipping + a whole lot of your time. GBRL is cheaper but also much more limited. So overall it is quite a...

Re: Video Walkthrough of How I Use the Acorn
Yes a very good introduction to the Centroid Acorn. One thing I don't agree with in the video is Adam stating that the Acorn system is expensive. If one values their time at all the Acorn is a no brainer. The ease of installation and support is priceless I think. The combination of hardware and sof...

Re: Video Walkthrough of How I Use the Acorn
thanks for posting, great video. got to get you on a Centroid Probe. Adam has also done one of the best videos i've seen on how to use probing to pick up "hard" locations on a part and reverse engineer it in the CAD/CAM system using the location data he got from putting the part in the CNC...

Re: Kitamura Mycenter Zero - DELTA Ethercat Retrofit
Right on!
Right now we have not tested a C2000 yet on the Ethercat daisy chain, but will be testing a Delta M300 via as soon as they ship it to us.

Re: Delta ASDA-B2 ACORN WIRING INFORMATION
Al009 just means the position error exceeds what is set (i believe it is normally 60k pulses; look in the manual; it is some a parameter). This generally happens if the drive is not tuned and/or it is put under recessive stress where it does not have enough power to overcome that. You can monitor i...

Re: Centroid acorn router machine build
sorry i can't give this kind of advice, it is up to you to determine the proper amp ratings of wire, contactors, disconnects, relays etc.. usually the VFD manual will tell you what and how to size wire fuses/breakers etc and there are plenty of VFD videos on line. the safety aspect of the project is...

Re: Hybrid stepper motor error
sounds like the driver is faulting out and releasing power, check for binding/load on motor when holding position and or force that would cause it to be pushed off the commanded hold position. does the drive have a LED that indicates a fault?
