Re: Hardinge TFB

Final updated schematic. Needed to invert the Z-axis handwheel encoder; added a Z-axis glass scale; added spindle motor fan; swapped the status light for a two color red/green indicator (green when ready to run/flashing red when in e-stop or faulted). With the addition of the z-scale, this fills up ...

Re: glass scale on MPG input/OAK

Marc, Seems like the idiot married to my current wife couldn't wire a simple DB9 connector. No problems with the tiny crimps in the MPG connector but he transposed 2 pairs in the DB9. Wires swapped and we're cooking with gas now! Oak with two servos, dual handwheels, X & Z glass scales, and spindle ...

Re: Increment to continue

If the light on the button is lit, you are in incremental jog. No light is continuous.

Re: A VERY Annoying "Feature" of This Forum...

I have my login saved on two computers, at tablet, and a phone. Never had to re-login on any of them. Hate to say it but it seems like it's a local problem and not a forum related one.

Re: Gang Tooling with a Few Twists

On the Acorn, Centroid no longer supports DXF import for good reasons. Others are currently working on (and nearing completion) of a Fusion 360 lathe post processor. However, the pawn program was done completely in Intercon. The pawn is actually a fairly simple lathe program - check out Chapter 9 in...

Re: Centroid CNC11 & CNC10 Operator Manuals

I keep most of my manuals on a tablet for reference and it's a lot easier to navigate if they have TOCs and hyperlinks. So, I went through the CNC11 lathe manual and added those. [strike]Still working on the Mill manual (although I have an older 3.14 version with links if anyone is interested.)[/str...

Re: glass scale on MPG input/OAK

Marc,

Haven't had a chance to do any further debugging yet. Next step is to pull the MPG off the mill and hook it up to the MPG port on the lathe and verify that I am getting activity. If that's good, I'll start debugging the cable. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for all your help.

Re: Erroneous Torque Nomenclature?

We sometimes measure torques in oz-in for the same reason we measure parts in inches. Machining a part to 2" is much easier to measure than machining it to 0.16667 feet.

Re: Wizard Write Settings problem

CNCT is the lathe install directory. Did you install both lathe and mill versions on your computer?
