Re: Axis moving wrong direction from file

if i command x-.5 from mdi it moves the correct direction ,but if you load a g code file and run it you get this . MDI and running a file are the same thing, so this is not possible. There is probably some confusion due to CAD/CAM setup, incremental / absolute mode, tool setup, or part zero setup. ...

Re: Touch screen control panel for OAK board? When?

Do you know if CNC12 for OAK will run on Win7? In my experience, all recent Centroid software works on Windows 7. It is simply not cost effective for Centroid to spend the testing time to guarantee that anything works with an end of life OS. Support is also increasingly difficult if users don't get...

Re: Motor Transformer Sizing

I think diycncscott was referring to the 20A that is commonly available from 110/120 outlets. Centroid 40inlb motors are rated about 8A continuous, so in theory, a 4 axis could require 32A. In reality, the current requirement could vary greatly depending on the user. Most users will not run try to r...

Re: Communicating with Acorn through other software.

It sounds like this could be done in G code. M100 / M101 are used to wait on inputs.

Re: Anomalous Behavior of Beagle Bone Green on Acorn Board with separate power supplies

Voltage from the VFD input is feeding back into the ACORN output before the ACORN supply starts.

Re: Macro to toggle servo hold torque?

There is no encoder feedback from axis motors to ACORN. So no, you can not use it as a DRO.

Did you try this?

Disconnect the wires from the Acorn to the DMM. I'm sure you will find it is 0VDC with them disconnected.

No problem Marty. Be careful to not get blown off course by unclear answers.

Re: Analog 0-10 volt staying at .6 volts when should be zero

The DMM drives should have a contactor controlled by output 1 to cut the main drive voltage (R,S,T). This arrangement is shown on the Estun Pronet-E schematic (DYN4 schematic needs this added). Since DMM powers on even with no control signals connected, there is no other safe way to use it. Setting ...

Re: Acorn wont take flash no heart beat when on board

Let me try to clarify the instructions: See if the 5V regulator is working: *Locate D2 pin 2. See the photograph on page 2 in the document linked to this post: viewtopic.php?f=60&t=1470. *Plug in ACORN +24VDC and COM, but nothing else *Measure from D2 pin 2 to COM. The measurement should be 5V. Ther...
