Re: Wizard data disappearing

It worked perfectly for at least 2 years. I suspect that there was a homing failure as you say. I don't remember anything specifically. If I start homing and stop it in the middle, would that cause it to zero out? I suspect not. I've done this more than a few times. If the gantry is on the far end o...

Wizard data disappearing

Greetings, I'm having a problem with CNC12 Acorn Router V5.08. It is similar to a problem I had with the previous version which was V4.8. With V5.08, the Wizard page for Axis Squaring resets and loses my settings. It first happened last week. All my macros were off. Once I discovered that the Axis S...

Re: Z Axis lost control with VCP and WMPG-4

Sorry for my slow responses. We've been on site on an installation for the last two weeks. I did a fresh install and rebuilt the system from Wizard PDFs I printed and I rebuilt my VCP using buttons and HTML files used previously. v5.06 worked for a month or so before this issue occured. Now that I'm...

Re: Z Axis lost control with VCP and WMPG-4

The report was made when I was in the process of diagnosing the problem.

I didn't have a problem with my set up. The machine worked fastastic for 3 years. Worked well after upgrading to V5.06.

One morning control of the Z axis with the VCP or WMPG-4 stopped.

Z Axis lost control with VCP and WMPG-4

Greetings, Our Multicam MG CNC router has been productively controlled by an Acorn board for the last 3 years. Last week I restarted it but after homing, the Z axis would not move using the wireless WMPG-4 or the VCP. I could only get movement using MDI. The X and Y axis were also demonstrating issu...

Re: Outputs for an Acorn controlled slant bed lathe.

Thanks for your interest Chris. Outputs 7 and 8 are wired using both their normally closed and open terminals. Normally closed commands the solenoid controlling the pnuematic cylinder to stay open. When the relay is triggered, the "stay open" side of the solenoid is deactivated and the clo...

Re: Outputs for an Acorn controlled slant bed lathe.

That is very slick. How long has that been a feature. I can't tell you how many photos of the Wizard pages I've taken. Acorn just gets better and better.

Outputs for an Acorn controlled slant bed lathe.

Greetings, I'm working on putting all my controls for my DynaMyte 3300 slant bed lathe into the VCP on a touchscreen monitor. The machine worked well previously with hardwired switches and a VEXTA stepper controller for the tool turret. I first tackled the tool turret. I wanted buttons for each tool...

Re: Replacing the CPU on a DC3IO controller

Thanks for the quick response. The processor on the motherboard is dead. The whole unit must have got hit hard by something. When I opened it up, the cooling fan and heat sink on the processor was dislodged. The processor overheated the first time it was booted after whatever happened. I tried an en...

Replacing the CPU on a DC3IO controller

Greetings, The CPU running Linux on my mill died. It was running CNC10V2.68. It's a DC3IO controller. One possible serial number may be 070627.1229. Using another vintage CPU, I've gotten close to restoring the system but I'm getting the attached error messages. This machine is due for an upgrade bu...
