Re: AcornSix issues
I eliminated the possibility there is a wiring issue preventing my AcornSix board from driving XA, XB, and Y axes. I did this by replacing the AcornSix with an AcornCNC board. I plugged the H1 and H2 open collector connectors on the AcornSix directly into the H2 and H3 connectors on the AcornCNC. I ...

Re: AcornSix issues
Yes they are. Identical parameters set is SigmaWin+. I also switched servo drives and motors between axes to determine whether there was anything defective in them. The distance discrepancy followed the output from the AcornSix.

Re: AcornSix issues
Good Morning,
Any thoughts on whether a firmware upgrade will solve my AcornSix problems?
Thanks

Re: AcornSix issues
I'm hoping that the firmware is the problem. Now that I switched back from the AcornCNC to the AcornSix, only the XB axis provides movement.

Re: AcornSix issues
Just to clarify a bit more. I used the open collector terminals for the XA, XB, and Y axes. I used the 5V step and direction terminals for the two Z axes.
I thought I posted a report with my first post. Not sure why it didn't appear.

Re: AcornSix issues
I used the open collector terminals for the AcornSix. I used the same step rates for both boards.
The board is labeled PN, 15114, QC461 with a date of 3/15/23.

AcornSix issues
Last year I purchased an AcornSix board for a 48x96 Vytek laser table. All went well with the upgrade -- travel on five axes and homing. I had only one persistent problem with my paired XA and XB axis. Over 8 feet of travel, XB went roughly 3/16" further than XA. When given a G0X96 command, mov...

Re: Wizard data disappearing
It worked perfectly for at least 2 years. I suspect that there was a homing failure as you say. I don't remember anything specifically. If I start homing and stop it in the middle, would that cause it to zero out? I suspect not. I've done this more than a few times. If the gantry is on the far end o...

Wizard data disappearing
Greetings, I'm having a problem with CNC12 Acorn Router V5.08. It is similar to a problem I had with the previous version which was V4.8. With V5.08, the Wizard page for Axis Squaring resets and loses my settings. It first happened last week. All my macros were off. Once I discovered that the Axis S...
