Re: One PC for multiple Acorns?

Nothing will be unlocked if you try to use a License from another Acorn (it won't give you any capabilities above whats included in the Free). The License file is unique to the specific Acorn hardware.

Re: encoder suitability

The spec sheet on that encoder does not give the signal type. You need a differential quadrature encoder, typically listed as A, A/, B, B/, Z, Z/ (sometimes the 3rd channel is listed as I, I/ but its the same thing). Re: Question to the forum,, VFD / spindle HP recomendation to ridgid tap

For Rigid Tapping, the Rigid Tapping Option would be needed and an encoder belted one to one with the spindle. For the VFD size the "old" rule of thumb was to oversize it according to your spindle motor. Today's VFDs have come a long way and a 2hp VFD should be sufficient for a 2hp motor. If you kee...

Re: Oak vs MPU11/GPIO4D

The additional advantage of the Oak is that is has Position mode control built in (the MPU11/GPIO4D would need Optic Directs for each axis in order to support this). If you don't require position mode with your drives than I would recommend keeping the existing MPU11/GPIO4D.

Re: Bridgeport Boss R2E3 Series II new to me project: Introduction

Thanks for the updated info. Those motors should work great with the ALLIN1DC. Just remove one of the end-caps on the servomotors and see the shaft diameter you have there (the encoders we sell are hollow shaft).

Hello Randy,

Can you post a picture of servomotor data-plates? Sounds like a great ALLILN1DC candidate.

Re: Anamet Anaconda MTC Conduit

Are you looking for just the conduit or the conduit with end connectors? Our standard console extension 6' conduit (no cables inside) with end connectors is $115.

Re: My Wizard fails to launch!

When you say the wizard would not run did it give an error code? Or did it you just double-click and it did nothing? Have you tried restarting the computer since then? Is this the first time on a clean install or was a previous version of CNC12 installed?

Re: Knee mill project

Based on your Key-A number the last version of software we know you were running was 3.04. So you would need to run 3.06 once (the software needs to communicate with the control) and than install 3.16. Current MPU11 based controls will be supported in CNC12 in the near future. That will include the ...
