Re: Inability to maintain programmed coordinates

I turned off the smoothing control par. # 220, and the problem with the coord went away.
Can you explain why this would happen and what I should do now?

Re: Inability to maintain programmed coordinates

The problem is not consistent. The machine never loses the setup position. If I indicate my work piece it is in the exact perfect location. it seems to be worse when I run at higher axis feed rates. it knows where to go, but once it gets there its like it can't stop and hold at the proper coord. It ...

Inability to maintain programmed coordinates

I posted a problem on 8-21-11 titled "constant feed rate". After we ultimately decided to reload the software it seemed to work a little better, but apparently the problem has not been irradicated. I am sending a picture of the screen at the end of a run to show you the magnitude of this p...

Re: Constant Feed Rate

After downloading and installing the latest software version, all problems have ceased. The feed rate is constant on all moves and all the axii stop at the programmed position. Thanks for your excruciatingly slow but effective help. This probably could have been dealt with by 1 maybe 2 phone calls in...

Re: Constant Feed Rate

How do you install the software update.
Its on my usb drive as a zip file but the update command in utilities doesn't recognize it.
By the way I have Linux, Is this the right link for update?

Re: Constant Feed Rate

Are you saying that this was not an issue in the past? This was never an issue in the past. This same program cut correctly in the past on this machine with this control? Yes Did you the problem begin after an update to Mach? No A new POST? No A change in parameters? No Please send us a copy of your...

Re: Constant Feed Rate

The mcam generates a corner rounding move when transitioning from one axis to another. When cutting a square instead of simple linear moves it will cut a tiny radius in between. This is when I notice the Velocity change , 10 ipm becomes .07 ipm The radii is somewhere around .025. This machine was wo...

Re: Constant Feed Rate

I get the feed rate reading from the control screen. This thing is running at very high velocity 10-20 ipm, then almost comes to a stop .7 ipm I notice it on what appears to be corner radii generated by mcam I thought it was the programming but it doesn't do it with the same program on a different m...

***RESOLVED*** Constant Feed Rate

Ajax mach 3 mpu 11 the controller will not maintain a constant feed rate on corner radii for instance I have a feed rate of 10 ipm then at the corner radii it reduces to .7 ipm Also, at the end of the program when returning to a set position (x3,y2,z1) The readout says x3.002, y2.0029,z1.0028 I can ...

Re: Sub Routine

ver 3.03 After you mentioned the full file name, I looked and the editor does not automatically assign a file extension.Or at least I don't see how. When I added the file extension .nc to the file, it worked fine. The o9100.cnc file was properly extracted to the ncfiles directory. Maybe you should a...
