Re: Kitamura Mycenter Zero - DELTA Ethercat Retrofit

good to hear. They use it in automotive for a reason i suspect. The bad thing is it can't transfer as much torque as an equivalent "normal belt", s you might need a wider one to accommodate for it. Good that mine has room for a 60mm belt. From the quick data i could find, that should be go...

Re: Will Hickory ever support third party I/O?

I have used beckhoff ETHERCAT IO with LCNC before and that works quite well. Can find them used almost everywhere and they are very compact and affordable *used*. https://i.imgur.com/Hrsnscd.png A full setup, like in this picture is about 150-200 USD used. As for the carroussel, In my build I just u...

Re: Feature Request - SSV

As far as I'm aware only Renishaw does something fancy by adding strain g...

Re: Video Walkthrough of How I Use the Acorn

You could use the generic china one for like 80USD that most people use in te DIY atmosphere.
Due to the technology used, they pretty much all perform the same.

Re: Video Walkthrough of How I Use the Acorn

The acorn is quite a good value tbh. Edingcnc starter set is also around the 360 mark. If one opts for linuxcnc and wants to use a mesa card (like most people do) you'll also quickly spend 200+ shipping + a whole lot of your time. GBRL is cheaper but also much more limited. So overall it is quite a ...
