Re: Video Walkthrough of How I Use the Acorn
here is the one i got - 200$ wireless: http://www.robotdigg.com/crab/image/2023/12/06/c84ce9147b2a516819edfcd3747cba40.png Error is probably within 0.005mm, and can reach the nominal accuracy within 0.01mm (after calibration). As far as I'm aware only Renishaw does something fancy by adding strain g...

Re: Video Walkthrough of How I Use the Acorn
You could use the generic china one for like 80USD that most people use in te DIY atmosphere.
Due to the technology used, they pretty much all perform the same.

Re: Video Walkthrough of How I Use the Acorn
The acorn is quite a good value tbh. Edingcnc starter set is also around the 360 mark. If one opts for linuxcnc and wants to use a mesa card (like most people do) you'll also quickly spend 200+ shipping + a whole lot of your time. GBRL is cheaper but also much more limited. So overall it is quite a ...

Delta C2000+ + CMC-EC01 (EtherCAT) + EMC-PG01H SIN-COS Encoder Card for the Fanuc Servo Motor: This setup adapts modern Ethercat communication to interface with the existing Fanuc servo motor. You may want to review that one with someone knowledgeable at Centroid. My understanding is that spindle d...

Re: Delta ASDA-B2 ACORN WIRING INFORMATION
Al009 just means the position error exceeds what is set (i believe it is normally 60k pulses; look in the manual; it is some a parameter). This generally happens if the drive is not tuned and/or it is put under recessive stress where it does not have enough power to overcome that. You can monitor it...

Re: Delta ASDA-B2 ACORN WIRING INFORMATION
Have you tried running the delta drive through their software? As in simple jogging etc. If that eorks you know at least the drive is working. Asdasoft also allows you to see any errors etc. Additionally it is very hard to remotly diagnose something without being provided with a step by step log of ...

Re: Breaking news! Delta B3A ethercat drive is now running with Hickory and we are doing final tests on a machine
One thing that I'm wondering. The PID (centroid side) is that purely for delay in drives or is that also a PID position-wise (running over the Delta PID)?
