Re: Hardinge CHNC II+ Hickory LeadShine EL7 Retrofit

Question about encoder cable. Once the rest of the retrofit is complete I am planning to retrofit the air driven tool turret with a servo motor. I am using Leadshine EL7 drives and servos with absolute encoders. The encoder cable already has the motor connector on it and it is impossible to get it ...

For Hickory, the main tuning done on the Centroid side is the delay. If you have scales, that will add another position loop on top.

Re: Acornsix yaskawa sigma2 issue!

They are set up mostly the same as the recommended way to set up the sigma 5 tech bulletin As I said before I had the same drivre working on another machine they work wonderful over a year Right, and we have no idea how the other machine was configured nor how the drives are currently wired to the ...

Re: Acornsix yaskawa sigma2 issue!

You may have already checked all of these things but: How exactly are they wired? The Sigma II manual I found says that they accept up to 12V for the pull up when using open collector outputs. Are the position error clear inputs connected to anything? If not, then are they set such that they will no...

Re: Dyna Myte 2400 DC Spindle control?

I am not sure about reversing but they have a manual reverse switch available. It might be possible to replace that with a relay arrangement. That accessory board will let you use 0-5 to control the speed with that drive. It seems like other series of their drives might have 0-10 with the correspond...

Re: OPCON and USB-BOB

Can anyone recommend a supplier of industrial, lighted switches that have 5V LED's in them? I'm not talking about $3 switches from Amazon either. My supplier that I use for all my industrial switches only has 24v DC and then AC lighted switches. I think they might carry 12v also but I've not seen a...

Re: Dyna Myte 2400 DC Spindle control?

I think you should find out what the current or power rating of that motor is and then find a DC motor drive to match. They are not hard to find, AutomationDirect has some options here https://www.automationdirect.com/adc/overview/catalog/drives_-a-_soft_starters/dc_drives/high_voltage_(%3E_50v)_dc_...

Re: Delta ASDA-B2 ACORN WIRING INFORMATION

Hello,
You should connect the Delta ASDA-B2 drive with the screw terminals as shown in schematic S15102.

I will ask about correcting the number of pins on the connector in the drawing.

Re: Centroid Operator Control Panel Interface Board: USB-BOB

On my lathe I really only need to use two of the rotary encoder knobs: one for spindle speed and one for feed rate. I don't think I need to control rapid speeds since it's a very small lathe. Can the third rotary encoder be used as a multiplier for the X and Z MPGs I'm going to add? eg: 1x, 10x, 10...
